So sien today, the cboxes macam nothing happening.
Today got called back to duty because some of the geezers had problem, one of them had a swollen foot. We PBSM members only do emergencies, like stopping your blood from flowing, or CPR, or splinting your broken leg etc...
Swollen foot, not our thing, it's a doctor thing. Doctor on call is who we call.
Was sitting nicely in my room when wtf got a call to go BR immediately to help out. OK, my job, expected. Went up, and this cute Indian guy whom I saw a day ago in my college was there. I forgot what happened when I saw him but I remember he asked for my name. Huhuhuhu... I assumed he was with the mosque karaoke dudes... Anyways, he was in the BR and he was already speaking to the officers on duty, but when I came, it seemed that I had authority or something, and I tried to assess the situation then straight to help theah pek patient.
I tried to ask for the dr-on-call list, but I don't know why, it seems the office doesn't have it, and I had to rely on the old list, and so I dialed the number. And it was not the dr-on-call, but the paramedics. Whatever la, as long as they could get me the damn ambulance. Which brings me to another thing: Why didn't the fellow on duty drive the patient to PK like how she was supposed to? Oh ya, she practically went blur with all the emergency happening at the same time. But am I glad it was not that Fei Lou, otherwise will nicely kena shelling instead of a thank you.
Later waited for the ambulance to arrive and bring the patient to PK, but instead the doctor himself came in the ambulance!!! OMG it's the cute Arabian doctor, Dr Jowhar... He's soooo cute!!! *fawns* After the consultation, the ahpeks went back to their rooms like they were supposed to, and I followed the doctor in the ambulance to DECTAR [a big hall very near to my place, can reach within 2 minutes of walking, and the place where the doctor was at when I called, he was there to be on standby] to get the list of doctor-on-call...
After which went back to the BR to see what happened, the procedure to call a doctor when we couldn't help was clearly printed and pasted on the notice board. I mean, if I was to appear anytime someone feels any pain then what is the use of the duty roster? Then I might as well work everyday, beats running up to the junior block in my slippers and PJs and sweat like a pig.
What I would like to mention is, during the time when I was in the office trying to get the list, there he was, the cute tall Indian guy who asked for my name on duty in the office. We were discussing what is the next step, and when the girl fellow stepped away I asked, "Hey, I didn't catch your name?" He told me his name was AB, I thought it was Abee or Abie and asked how to spell it. He said, "A and B" with the with hand movements to show me how it is written out in the air and OMFG I felt so incredibly stupid for like, 1 second and collected my wits and went, "Oh, I see..." nodding my head to show my understanding when in my mind I was thinking, "How the HELL did I embarrass myself so incredibly much!!!" [I think that was the longest sentence in this whole post]
So, I got the guys name, and he has mine, and I asked, "So, you a new fellow here?" He said, "Second hand fellow," and my face went, DUH and I can't believe I displayed sooo much stupidity in the short span of 10 seconds. Note to self: Act smart even if you're stupid.
