Movie date. YEAH!!!

OK, back from the movie date... Wah, it was fun to go out after sooo long!!! The last time I've been to MidValley it was sometime near my last birthday, because I remember that's when Michelle, Chia Sin, Sabrina and I hung out and Mich and CS gave me an Inuyasha jigsaw puzzle that I still haven't finished completing. Kekeke...

So, about today's movie date. Presentee: Dodo aka Doreen, YY [Doreen's housemate], Jordan, and me. So, yesterday [if I'm not mistaken] we were chatting on cbox in kennysia.com and Jordan asked who wanted to go out and stuff. They arranged to meet last night at Laundry [a hang out place in The Curve] to have a drink. I wanted to go and Jordan was convincing dodo to go but she didn't want to, and me being the girl who never went to nightspots [except for City Plaza] said no too after some thoughts... So, in the end we ended up with a movie date, and MV it was.

Doreen and YY arrived one train earlier than me and went to McD, and me being the blur case that I am I totally missed Doreen [I knew how she looked like from friendster and btw UKM now bans friendster, like, WTF right?] and she had to wave in my face to stop me from walking past her, like, I'm sooooo hopelessly blur...

Bought some chowders and settled down for ice-breaking, and there wasn't much ice anyway, since Doreen and I used to chat on cbox so... hahaha... We were done eating but sat there. being sooo lazy to go walk around MV because it was soooo crowded. But then this preggy and her whole family were like, hanging there like a vulture so we thought, OK fine better let her have this table so we got up and walked around aimlessly looking for ATM [we were broke]. After wandering a bit we finally located the moolah machine and since the Tower Records were nearby went inside to shop for some music, something I do once a year, one CD each time, because that's what you do when living on a tight budget. Got meself a Damien Rice CD. I only heard one of Damien's songs, and the reasons why I bought his CD are 1) it was 2 CDs for the price of one, 2) Muse's CD was a little bit more expensive and 3) The Beatles's CD was WAAAY put of my budget. Went to MPH to shop for books, and again, this is something I do about twice a year now. I was torn between Mitch Albom's latest book, which I waiting for the paperback to be on stores, and Hannibal Rising. In the end I chose Hannibal Rising because, 1) it was on 20% discount for MPH members, and 2) I didn't manage to get Hannibal Rising's DVD.

Right after getting out of MPH, Jordan sms-ed to say he arrived. Called to inform where we were and we waited at MPH. When he appeared, he looked very different from the only picture I've seen of him, which is in here. This picture, is center-parting. How he looks like now, is nothing but center-parting. Regretfully, we forgot to take any pictures as proof of today's day-out, so, sorry guys, can't show you what he looks like now. But it's a bit spikey I think. Shorter hair la. Haiyah, anyways, we didn't know where to hang out, so Jordan suggested Starbuck's [as predicted by YY]. Wanted to have peppermint tea, but Jordan said got caramel macchiato, and me having tasted the ice-blended version during Christmas loved it, but was bummed out because they didn't have it after the Christmas season, I went for the cold caramel macchiato instead of the hot peppermint tea despite the temperature inside the mall.

They all had medium or small sized drinks but me, I never ordered anything else but venti sized in Staebuck's so I had the biggest cup. Hehehe... AND despite having the biggest cup I finished first. Doreen and Jordan enjoyed their drinks slooowly but YY and I were the quick-drinkers. La. Oh ya, I forgot to mention YY and I were the JB ppl, and Doreen is from Miri [10 hours from Kuching by car], and Jordan is a local. But I digest [I didn't go stupid, I quoted Ali G. La]. We hung out for like, 1 hour or so, then at 11.30pm went to collect our tix for the movie, The Last Mimzy. Honestly, I had my reservations about the movie, because I never even heard of it. But I must say, I found that I missed kiddie movies like this. e.g. Jumanji, Jurassic Park. I won't go into the details of the movie, but I must say I almost cried a couple of times during the movie. It was quite touching.

After the movie, Doreen and myself went dashing for the toilet, we were holding it in for a loooong time. Jordan took up the responsibility of sending us back, and he was very gentlemanly to reject our offer of going dutch. Even after kena "saman" by our "tak rasuah" traffic police who DID NOT ask for the rasuah blatantly, he still said it was OK and turned down our offer of paying part of the "saman".

We nearly got lost looking for the number 1 university in Malaysia, but luckily he found the way, otherwise would've had to spend the night at Doreen's! Not that it's a bad thing, but my assignment is still unfinished, can't afford to be back only the next day... And so we parted... And I'm glad I went ahead with this plan, it is the first time meeting the other ppl from the cbox, and they are just so down-to-earth! Nice folks, they are... Hopefully there's a second one, and hopefully this next one would have more ppl joining!!!

Am tired now, will sleep ya... it's 4.19am... Nites...
