Haaaaaiiiiii~

Its been so so so so long since my last post. Before I start my post, a ZILLION TENKIUK to rojak for keeping this alive, never forgetting our story, and not forgetting to have a new cover for this awesome blog!

Oh well, 2012 is coming in 24 hours. I wouldn't want to recap what I did in this year. I've listed what I would want to do in 2012, because for no reason, I am so looking forward to the NEW YEAR!

1. For the past few years, I have the habit of having new stuff for new year. 2012 would be same. I will be having something NEW.
2. I wish to have a healthy body and don't get sick that often. ( I remembered having high fever for 4-6 times in 2011)
3. I would want to shed another 5-8 kg of my body. I want slim slim!
4. To change half of my wardrobe clothes cos the clothes bought last year seem to be bigger ( Did I just say shopping?)
5. To dress nicely everyday =D I don't seem to posses girl's ability to pose in front of the mirror for 24 hours.
6. To travel to the places which I have planned * fingers crossed*
7. Spend more quality time with my parents.
8. Smooth sailing relationship with seng-kor ^.^
9. Last but not least, to meet up at least monthly with my siaochaboS.

Ah, I think my resolution is not that hard. Achieveble but need hard work epecially 5.

Some time ago, I started to use the developer’s timeline version (how to get it) of facebook and it’s pretty cool if you have the time and effort to edit the banner for your facebook profile.

My mediocre attempt on my profile looks alright and i lubs it…

Today, since I’m kinda free (actually I need to return my library books, get my ears checked out blablabla but I can’t be arsed) I messed around with the functions on the timeline and I discovered 2 things:

You can feature a certain post by giving it the “big up”.
A normal post looks like this

You can totally cheat your timeline.
Let’s say you forgot to post something earlier and need to post it now: there’s a way for you to set the date of the posting. It doesn’t allow future posting though. Which sux.
And if you want to change the date of your post AFTER you’ve posted it, you can. Ain’t that awesome or wut. So totally using it to hide my movements to the people the prying eyes of the office pricks XD

Movie Reviews from a wallet [Part 1]

I've been keeping a bunch of movie tickets (when I end up holding the tickets, I get to keep em. Other ppl tend to just throw them away) in my wallet from the movies I've gone to. The reason I kept them was for record keeping purposes (cos I can't remember what movies I've watched).

And since I have a bunch of them now, I thought, "why not do a movie review for each of them?" However, some of the movies were from a very long time ago so it might just be dot dot dot that I come up with. And the reviews ain't gonna be like professional reviews, y'know?

And in no chronological order (coz I'm lazy like that), here goes...

Gulliver's Travels (4.5 / 5)
I remember Jack Black and Emily Blunt and that cute guy Jason (something. I remember him from Forgetting Sarah Marshall). Wait, lemme go a Google search.

OK yes, his name is Jason Segel. Now back to the review. Nice movie, as usual, anything with Jack Black just pwns. Next movie.

Resident Evil 3D (0.5 / 5)
[Did you honestly think there was going to be more than that in the last review? Nope. It's just random crap about each movie. Coz, like I said, I'm lazy like that]

I have a lot of love for the past Resident Evil movies because there were a lot of awesome fight scenes and also the plot just moves along and blows your mind like BAM BAM BOOM BAM (cue Jackie Chan with hurt knuckles).

Naturally, I had a lot of expectations for this one, and with it being in 3D and all, I nearly shat my pants in sexcitement when I saw the trailer for it.

But I ended up regretting paying RM16 for what I already got for free. The only exciting parts in the actual movie were already in the trailer. There was nothing new, and there wasn't much plot. Just a stupid Val Kilmer lookalike who died very easily in the end. [I just spent 5mins googling Val Kilmer coz I forgot his name]. And there wasn't much action so whichever action was there were in slo-mo. SUX.

Kung Fu Panda 2 (5 / 5)
Hell Yeah another Jack Black movie!!!! Wasn't expecting a sequel but in true Hollywood style, they made one! And it's AWSUM!!!

It’s got the same level of funny as the original Panda movie and the ending made me cry. Actually if I remember correctly, the movie made me cry a few times throughout. Can’t wait for the third one, the cliffhanger damn near killed me >.<

Old Dogs (? / 5)

I can’t remember much from this movie, but I think it was about a bunch of old men trying to come to terms that they are now senior citizens????

Legion (2.5 / 5)

Again, don’t remember much from this movie, but I think it’s about some battle between angels and their allegiance towards God and them questioning God’s will, or sumfink liddat… I think there were also scenes where these guys fighting to protect a pregnant woman coz she was about to give birth to our saviour. Kinda a meh movie.

Tooth Fairy (2 / 5)

Talking about meh movies, this kinda sucked ass. I’ve always liked The Rock, but him taking the path of going waaaaayyyy too Disney with this one is something I cannot tahan. TUTU. Damn FREAKING TUTU. KAMON?!

2012 (4.5 / 5)

A good number of people thought this one to be a meh movie, but I liked it due to the fact that I really want the world to end really soon. The Earth has been crawling with too many creeps. We need some cleansing ritual here. And also, the scene where the Earth collapsed underneath the plane, that scene got me friggin’ scared. Srsly.

Yesterday was a good day.

1) I wore my PizzaJohn t-shirt and I got quite a number of stares (go google) and I just can't help but giggle whenever I detect someone staring at my shirt XD

2) I managed to get Great Gatsby that I ordered from MPH. (side note: never ever let yourself be serviced by a girl named Dini. She's the skinny, bent-over girl who types goddamn slowly). So now I can boast that I own even more books that I have not gotten around to read.

3) While getting home, I rode the same elevator as my Bollywood star lookalike boss (he's really cute, ask the girls in the office and they'll agree). We small-talked while I was walking to my car and he to the temple (he always goes to the temple). In general, I just hate small talks, coz I never know what to say but yesterday was different. It was like a fangirl talking to a superstar, you know? He's married btw, and his baby is due anytime soon :D

4) When I got home you know what my mum found in the mail? ELLEN HARDCASTLE. It was shipped by the record company on 7th Sept and I was starting to worry that (a) it has been lost or "lost" in the mail (b) the customs had considered it violating some copyright law or some entertainment industry law and "confiscated" it. Thank god it arrived safely :D

In conclusion, I had an awesome day :)

New blogskin!!!!

I've been doing grown-up stuff lately which is the reason why I've not updated for a very long time.

I've recently come across videos from 2 brothers on Youtube and their channel is named vlogbrothers.

Basically they are brothers John and Hank Green and they had a project called Brotherhood2.0 (like Web2.0, geddit?) in year 2007 whe in the whole year, they would alternate weekdays to make a vlog post. EVERYDAY.

It's a very interesting project. You can see them talking about their lives, their family and their wives and all. And most of all you see them happy being nerds. (the best part XD).

John would frust about writing his books and Hank would talk about green tech and sing, they're just real talented nerds.

For me, it's just embarrassing to talk in front of a camera and also I like to hide behind paragraphs so watching them do it is so much cooler.

Ok about me, owner of half of 2SCBs stocks.

Work is stabilising, don't have to stay that late anymore nowadays, so that's good news.

So whoever's reading this probably already knows I work for Citibank (URGH OPPRESSED CORPORATE LAMB, I HAVE BECOME ONE). And the phone banking department is called Citiphone.

Recently, there has been a competition for worldwide (i think so?) Citiphoners to take part in a "Citiphone Got Talent" thing. Citiphoners have been rallied to submit their own songs and they would filter out the best one to represent APAC.

And, one of our very talented Citiphoner named Faidzal (really cool dude) already had the melody down so it's just the lyrics and the singing and whatnots.

I took interest in it and signed up with a few other people. We composed the lyrics to the song, the musicians took care of the music and we... recorded. (so yeah, i'm a recording "artist" now. BOOYAKASHA!)

We submitted the song and it seems that... we were the only team that submitted. The song got disseminated to the whole platform (spamming everyone's mailbox lol) and people liked it so much that we...

...were asked to guest perform at our annual dinner.

ooooookaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy....

Nerves. Bundle of nerves.

However, come the night of the event, I wasn't so nervous anymore. I was excited: excited to the point you might say I was SEXCITED W00T!!!

And so we marched up the stage and... it felt so un-nervous coz (1) there were other people (2) I was only singing background (3) there was spotlight in my eyes so I could see the audience at all, so thankfully I didn't have to imagine these people naked to overcome stage fright.

We had great fun and I hope we could win this regional thing so we could record a more professional and better edited version of the song.

I'd let you all listen to the song but unfortunately I don't have a copy of it (yet).

I had this aunt (the youngest of all aunts) who is a camwhore.

My bro and sis suffered her camwhore ways when they were very little. The older cousins of mine (about my sis and bro's age) all went through the days of being models for her camera.

And due to some family disputes that I will not get into, I haven't seen her and some other aunts in many years.

And then this year. At my uncle's house. Even though we went there early to avoid all the other relatives that we do not want to see. MISS PEGGY APPEARED.

I panicked. I didn't even want to get any ang pau from her. Wanted to just get outta there. But she seemed friendly, so my family and I played along. And then the horror began unexpectedly. SHE TOOK OUT HER DIGITAL CAMERA. OH SHI-

For a person who took beratus-ratus pics with a film cam, what happens if you hand her a digital cam? A way of creating infinite pictures? PHOTO AVALANCHE.

Actually, her being a camwhore is not what I hate about her. It's her hypocrisy that pisses me off. When my paternal passed, the family has to kneel beside the coffin when it's being carried out from the funeral home. At that point of time I felt really upset and was torn up inside about how I could've been a better granchild to my grans. I was crying on the inside. Silent tears.

And this Miss Peggy, the drama queen nudged me with he elbow and told me to cry louder. She kept egging me on. To me, I was sad. That was enough grief for me. I didn't have to show HOW upset I was. I didn't have to put up a show. And that stuck with me for a long time and I hate her for that. She made me feel so ridiculous at that point in time.

And this CNY, when she came to my uncle's house, she tasted the food my uncle's wife prepared and one of them was a specialty of my gran's. And then she started drama again la. She started saying that she misses her mum. No, she did not just SAY it. She was ber-drama-ing. Imagine how a stage actor has to overdramatise his voice and actions so that audience at the back of the theatre, that's how she reacted to the food.

recently there's been a girl whom i noticed has been hanging around different guys. well yeah, a girl and a guy can have a completely healthy, normal, platonic friendship but that's not what i've been seeing with this girl and the guy she hangs out with.

but this girl's actions show that the "friendships" she is having with one guy after another are not pure friendships.

anyways, her relationship is not the concern here. the thing i'm wondering about is how she actually makes use of these "friendships" to get benefits in return. something say, like a ride homeevery night. doesn't matter if it's with different guys, as long as she gets a ride home.

let's just assume they are not sleeping together, but why would a girl whore her affection out like that just to get favours like this? it's ok to use one's charms to get a shortcut once in a while but making this a permanent way of living their lives? how does it feel to not have to use your own effort to get by life?

Okies, haven't blogged in a while, and it's already 2011. I'm pretty late but let me start a REAL post (not considering the youtube vid as an official post lor. official post = post when I cuss and swear about some idjit ya?).

Even though I've been quiet on the blog but I've been announcing my thoughts without filter on FB so I guess everyone who hasn't hidden my posts pretty much knows what's happening. Still swearing at people who piss me off, still avoiding people I don't want to see because I pretty much keep to my tiny but tight circle of friends. I just don't see the point of hanging out with people I can't have a REAL conversation with, ya know?

Still stuck at this shitty job, looking to either switch dept or change job altogether, whichever opportunity comes first. Yeah, I confess I have a shitty job. I don't have a luxury life neh, no gold mine for me and no lottery luck as yet. But doing simple stuff with the right people has been real great. Now getting to have a few more comfy friends at work. People from the office that I could actually hang out with AFTER office hours. That's not been achievable in the past coz I try to compartmentalise my work life and my personal life. Friends from school whom I'm close with, I label them the group of REAL FRIENDS on FB. And work friends have their own group. But lately some work friends have seeped into the REAL FRIENDS circle. Baby steps!

Learnt how to drive in the past year, and now I'm getting every chance possible to chauffeur keluarga and kawan around. Shoddy driving skills but hopefully it'll get better in time. End goal: Be a safe driver.

Went and came back from land of the foreign brides. Nice place, great food, pretty girls. Too much walking though, nearly kaput from all the walking.

FINALLY got the minibar I won from my company dinner's lucky draw. It took them long enough to ship it from KL. After the sleepover at Pang's and after I sent Vinitha home (see? been happily chauffeuring people) I headed to Jusco Tebrau and FINALLY got the fridgey huhuhuhuh... Didn't get enough sleep the previous night (even tho it's called "sleepover", there's usually none or very little sleep involved in sleepovers) so I waited for them to get the fridge while catching a nap. Really fell asleep in Jusco.

Getting prepped for CNY, CAN'T FUCKING WAIT FOR CNY HUAHAHAHAHAHAH. Already finished a carton of Shandy (NOT singlehandedly lar), maybe getting 2 more cartons for CNY? Stocked up on Coke and 100PLUS (in my iddle minibar :D) and now waiting for BAK KUA TIME coz bak kua time = happy time.

This year's CNY is gonna be different for my brother and I. Since I've gotten my driver's license, my brother can step down as the CNY chauffeur for my mum and avoid hanging out with boring uncles and aunties during visits. It's gonna be ok for me ba, since if I show up there's a higher chance of me getting an ang pau... Just 卖笑lo. Smile and get money. XD

The past year has been about clearing debts. 2011 will continue that pattern and also for many years to come it will be that way (PTPTN, paying for my car, possibly more debt when we buy a house). It's a marker that I've become an adult; physically it happened quite some time ago but psychologically and financially, it's just happened. Don't know to be glad or sad. Glad coz I get my independence but sad because...

Happy new year peeps.

It's has not been a great 2010 I admit.I hope 2011 ahead will be full if challenges and surprises.

Before I ended my not-so-wonderful 2010, I received a surprise from a friend of >10 years. Let's say, Z. By the time I opened and saw Z's name I nearly forgot what really happened 3 years ago which changed everything.

After looking at it for 3 times, I'm sorry but I gotta confess that I wasn't touched nor angry or anything. It's like feelingless. So to Z, if you're reading this, I can only say, you gotta buck up. Maybe that one day you really dare face up to reality is the day you had grown up and that I'm happy for you.

And so 2010 ended and then came 2011.

Caught up with some of my friends for countdown and it was great. Looking towards to the next gathering in cny, hopefully;)

Swim away my nostalgia

I'mma wanna lose weight. But I'm not gonna diet or jog/run.

The only activites I enjoy are swimming and cycling.

I like swimming because when I sweat I don't know that I'm sweating (this thought also puts into perspective how many ppm sweat particles are there in a pool). And it's cooling.

I like cycling because I exercise while I'm still sitting on my fat ass. C'mon, isn't that bonus or wut?

I enjoyed both these sports when I was in UKM, there were bike rentals available and there was a meh golf resort inside the uni, which has a pool too.

So I still managed to exercise in uni. But now since I've started my work, I haven't been moving at all and I'm getting epically fatter than I've ever been.

Then I decided. I MUST START MOVING. I hate jogging coz it makes me sweat and I feel like a whale on land. I don't mind aerobic exercises but hey, let's face it, without an instructor I'm never gonna move. So, sticking to the 2 things I like the best would be the most ideal solution.

BUT. I ain't got a bike. House is too small to keep a bike. So, I went shopping for a swimsuit (thank god there's still a size for me) and goggles (lost my old one. speedo one leh!! so sakit hati) and went scouting for pools.

I knew there was a pool in Tun Aminah (the nearest one to my location, if I were to go swimming on a working day before work) but there's been a lot of talk about how nasty the pool is.

After scouting for a pool in Taman U with CK today, I just googled swimming pools in johor. It's a miracle that I found ANY info about this pool at all, but lucky for me I kept trying. And found an article about the pool and here's an extract from it.

To me, he could be a very good friend, with no other possibilities other than being a friend to me, and I don't mind being close friends with this guy. Because my gaydar always works, and I am pretty sure he doesn't swing the straight way.

However, people might not view this friendship as what it is. People might think it's more than friendship blablabla.

Been ill continuously, it was gastric then flu then sore throat then cough.

recently, i had the ill fortune to come to know a few idiots. all from the same batch, all equally stupid. they're not just the normal kind of stupid, they're the type that makes you wonder how can there be people as MORONIC as them in this world, and how they can be all sitting in a bunch in such a close proximity that they all surround you.

sometimes it's not so bad with one idiot. but when a whole lot of them sits together, their idiocy grows exponentially, and you die a little everyday drowned by idiocy.

they have been nicknamed the Mosquitoes (homage to the original Flies family).

the most annoying of them all is of course Moz #1, but let's nickname her Quizzy. i don't know if she's plain lazy, or she's just a plain sloth (oops, did i just indicate she's a bum?) but she seems to loooove asking people questions. QUESTIONS TO WHICH THE ANSWERS ARE READILY TO BE FOUND A THE TOUCH OF HER FINGERTIP.

we have a "knowledge" system, and it's basically the bible for our work. any product you need info on? refer to database. any procedure you're unsure of? refer to the database. any promo that you've never heard of? refer to database. finding the location of the nearest ATM in Geylang so that dude on the line can withdraw and pay his hooker? refer to database.

when newbies start asking questions, i usually tell them what i know. then i'd add that if there's anything they want info on, refer to database. Miss Quizzy OBVIOUSLY has been asking a lot of questions, thus the nickname Quizzy. and i've told her at least twice if there's anything she doesn't understand, she should first refer to the database. and if she still can't find what she was looking for, then she could ask on HOW to get that info. and i would gladly help. because that way, she'd have at least TRIED.

but NOOOOOONONONONONONONO. Miss Quizzy not only has big bones (you should see her size) but she's got some incredibly lazy bones. she NEVER checks before she asks, and even if she's asked the same thing before, she'd ask it again.

and if you've been nice enough to waste your time answering her, she'd waste even more of your time by asking you if you're sure. if you're really sure. if you're really sure that you'd drop your pants to prove you're sure.

i mean... if you're not confident with the answer that other people give you, then why ask that person in that first place? and if you doubt that person, it means you already have an answer in mind, why be so annoying and ask other people?

Moz #2. Miss Jenny-from-the-block-of-wood-for-brain. my issue with her is mostly personal, i won't go into it. what makes me feel annoyed at her is that she talks like a drone. the way she speaks into the phone, if you heard her from the next cubicle you'd have pictured her as a slobbering fool. you'd have imagined a block of wood with IQ 0.5 would have won in a game of chess with her. so anyways, she offended me once and i ain't goddess of mercy, imma hate her guts for as long as it takes.

Moz #3. yesterday it was so clear cut who was the more annoying one, but after today, i think it's a pretty tight competition. but i'd save today's drama for finale, thus moz #3 was a good-for-nothing bum that got me and another friend of mine in 2 different cases of long and complicated shits.

he made a HUGE mistake even before he became an official contract staff. because of him, i had to follow up on a bloody long case where i had to retrieve info that dated back from 2008 all the way till yr 2010. i had to waste time and effort to sit down and do the long calculations. i had to chase people's ass for that case, because my ass kena fireblast from other departments. and yesterday, he did a bloody big mistake causing some issues, and when he was told the customer wanted to speak to him, he refused. my friend had to clean his shit and wipe his ass for 45minutes on a single call. piece of shit, he is.

and now, the finale. up until today, she never showed her potential that she can such a fine specimen of pure, unadulterated idiocy and stupidity. friend #2 of mine was on fire today because of some idiot on the other end of the line. she was practically cursing, which was understandable. and when someone is on fire like that, you shut the hell up, do your job, and leave her the fuck alone and ask her to chill afterwards. but NOOOOOOOOONONONONONO. Miss Village Idiot had to interfere WHILE friend #2 was on fire AND on the line.

the person on the other end of the line couldn't have heard all the cursing from all the frustration, because there's something called the MUTE BUTTON. just because Miss V.I. wanted to listen to the conversation, she walked over to friend #2 and pressed some button and suddenly, while friend #2 was ranting, suddenly the phone wasn't on mute anymore. and the ending piece of "sanskrit" screamed out was heard by the customer. (luckily she didn't curse in english).

i actually saw the whole thing happen. i swear i had the impulse to stand up and slap that mush-brained kampung ass. and i would have done so it was me that she messed with and if she weren't pregnant. from what my friend told me, Miss V.I. threw a sarcastic remark telling my friend that "you should know better than to shout at the person when they're shouting at you". (this was in tamil).

you fucking mess with other people 1. when they're working, 2. when they're on fire, 3. when it's none of your business and you could have potentially caused a complaint to be made to that person AND THEN you spew sarcasm out of your shit-hole without even filtering your thoughts through your mudbrain???? oh wow, you're just gonna be the most lovable person in the whole universe!

i never really like to bring work matters to my personal life but THESE 4 PEOPLE are just too sick and stupid for me to pass a mention.

my mum and i had a little debate about cough syrups.

i have had a couple of days of coughing, it's not too serious, but the coughing has brought me some headaches.

last night i administered some bena expectorant (sum powderfool shiet) and as expect(orant)-ed, i hit my pillows like a sack of cement.

and as expectorant-ed, i woke up today feeling light-headed. a feeling which i hate. so i really try to reduce taking bena as much as i could.

my coughing now is not so bad, just skali-skala. but my mum asked me why am i not taking my med (sirap la). debate starts.

me: ma, do you know cough syrups are addictive and they make me drowsy? and why would i want to take it when i'm not coughing?!

mother: why would you want to wait till you're coughing again to take it? why don't you take it now to stop further coughing?

me: MA!!! cough syrups are to suppress coughs! meaning to stop coughing when you ARE coughing! if i want to prevent further coughing antibiotics would do it, don't you think?!!!!

mum doesn't believe me.

oh god.

I work the night shift. I am chauffeured every night to my doorstep by the van uncle. Sometimes it's an malay uncle, sometimes it's an indian uncle.
